Meet Sandy Toensing, VA Sinus Center's New PA!
Sandy Toensing is an experienced Physician Assistant in Otolaryngology. She has been providing Ear, Nose, and Throat care for patients of all ages since 2014. Before choosing ENT as her specialty, she worked in Internal Medicine for several years.
She became passionate about ENT after realizing that her work makes a difference in the quality of her patient's lives. She finds that being able to help a patient breathe easier or hear better as well as treating other ENT problems is extremely rewarding.
Sandy is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, ENT PA Society, and Virginia Association of Physician Assistants. She has been awarded 1st place standing for Best Bedside Manner in the category of Physician Assistant from Our Health Magazine in SWVA two years in a row. Sandy has also enjoyed being a guest lecturer on many topics regarding ENT at a local Physician Assistant School in SWVA as well as in her community.
After living 16 years in the mountains of Southwest Virginia, Sandy and her husband, John, are looking forward to the sun and sand in the Tidewater area! When not at work, Sandy enjoys walking, swimming, reading, and cooking. She and John have three grown children and one granddaughter.
